Welcoming Influential Richmond Entrepreneur, Korinn Y. Carter
RICHMOND, Va. - Virginir -- A New Legacy is pleased to invite the public to the grand opening of the St. Luke Building's new Legacy Center on Saturday July 25 from 3-5pm at 900 Saint James St. in Richmond, Virginia. We will commemorate the historical accomplishments of Maggie L. Walker and celebrate the legacy of empowering and supporting minority families in the Greater Richmond area.
Walker, whose office was located in the St. Luke Building, spent her life fighting for tangible, progressive improvements in the lives of women, African Americans, the disabled, and underprivileged citizens of Richmond and the nation as a whole.
Now young social entrepreneur and A New Legacy Family Services CEO Korinn Y. Carter becomes a torch-bearer and creates a new legacy in Jackson Ward as she brings her service-based businesses to the St. Luke Building - former headquarters of the African American fraternal society, The Order of St. Luke.

Joined by Clinical Director Nikki Shaw, Carter has dedicated her life to the progress of Richmond's underserved communities. Together they have laid a foundation for therapeutic support services that will change lives in the Jackson Ward community including home health care, community-based child care, and mental and behavioral health services that are family focused and results centered.
The Grand Opening will include opportunities to meet our community partners as well as the A New Legacy team. There will also be an opportunity to have the first look of the historic building that will now house services that will play an integral role in the future of the community.
