NORFOLK, Va. - Virginir -- PRA Group, Inc., a global leader in acquiring and collecting nonperforming loans, is pleased to announce employee giving for the company's annual United Way Campaign reached a new record high, with over $325,000 pledged to United Way for 2022.
In addition to the company's regular corporate matching program, PRA Group employees were challenged to increase their giving to unlock an additional $25,000 corporate contribution, made possible by PRA Group Co-Founder and Board of Trustees Chair Steve Frederickson. In an overwhelming response to the challenge, employee pledges to United Way exceeded $175,000. Between their individual donations and corporate matching gifts, PRA Group saw an overall 10 percent increase in total pledging to United Way over the 2020-21 campaign.

"It's no secret the pandemic has created a difficult fundraising environment for many nonprofits, during a time when the need for their services in the communities where we live is very high. Our employees' generosity during this time will have a meaningful impact," said Pete Graham, chief executive officer of PRA Group and United Way of South Hampton Roads board member. "When companies and individuals work together to identify and help solve problems affecting our communities—whether it's domestic violence, hunger, homelessness or lack of access to health care—we can partner with United Way to make a lasting difference."
