### Rev. Shanise Talia Williams Announces Write-In Campaign for Virginia's 3rd Congressional District
Newport News, VA — June 24,2024 — In response to the alarming rise in corruption, lack of integrity, and diminished accountability among our current leaders, Rev. Shanise Talia Williams is proud to announce her candidacy as a write-in candidate for Virginia's 3rd Congressional District.
Rev. Williams has made the decision to run a write-in campaign, expressing her profound distrust in the political system and her unwavering faith in the people of the district. "It is time for the people to choose who we trust instead of just voting blue. Moving forward, voting blue just won't do!" declared Rev. Williams. "Our community deserves leaders who are committed to honesty, transparency, and true public service."
Rev. Williams, a respected community leader and advocate for social justice locally known for The Girls Take Granby Women's March, brings a fresh perspective and a deep commitment to restoring integrity in politics. Her campaign will focus on addressing the critical issues facing our district, including economic inequality, healthcare access, education reform, and community safety.
