JagKumar Wins Direct Award From Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART)

ARLINGTON, Va. - Virginir -- JagKumar, a leading provider of IT and security services in the transportation sector, has won a direct award from Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) to provide remote technical and engineering support services for the CCTV systems on DART's fleet.

JagKumar, led by tech executive and entrepreneur Jagdish "Jay" Katyal, is jumping into the breach to quickly identify and correct software and hardware issues with the CCTV systems installed on DART's fleet of approximately 700 buses and streetcars. JagKumar's technical experts will troubleshoot and repair hardware and software, including DART's DVRs, cameras, and AMS servers, both remotely and onsite in the Dallas, TX, metro area.

JagKumar technical experts will also recommend updates needed for improved security and perform database performance tuning and management and preventative maintenance and will train police support staff. JagKumar will be called upon to advise on and assist in the replacement of the Dedicated Micros CCTV system, which is no longer supported in the US.

JagKumar's CEO has a long history of achievement and service. Katyal is a 20-year veteran of the tech industry and long-time resident of Arlington, VA. He was appointed by the Governor of Virginia to serve on Virginia's Criminal Justice Services Board (CJSB) in 2019 as a representative of the private security sector and later that year was elected to serve as board chair of Virginia's Private Security Services Advisory Board (PSSAB). The CJSB is the policy board of the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services and the approving authority for the department's regulations and most of the grants it awards to localities, government agencies, and nonprofits. The PSSAB advises the Criminal Justice Services Board of Virginia on issues related to the regulation of the private security industry.
