ARLINGTON, Va. - Virginir -- Jagdish K. Katyal, Jr., business owner and entrepreneur, has been reappointed to a key position on the Commonwealth of Virginia's Criminal Justice Services Board by Governor Glenn Youngkin. Jagdish is an expert in IT services and security.
The Criminal Justice Services Board is the policy board of the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services. The board is the approving authority for the department's regulations and approves most of the grants awarded by the department to localities, government agencies, and nonprofits. Jagdish serves on the 32-member CJSB with judges, elected officials from Virginia's General Assembly, law enforcement officers, nonprofit leaders, and more.
Jagdish was originally appointed to the position in 2019. "I am honored to be reappointed by the Governor to the Criminal Justice Services Board. The work we do is critical: we collaborate with members of the legislature to determine potential ramifications of proposed changes to laws and regulations. This way, we ensure that laws passed best fit the complex needs of individual constituents and our community."
