FAIRFAX, Va. ~ Fairfax, VA - ECS, a leading provider of advanced technology, science, and engineering solutions and an ASGN brand, has announced that their President, John Heneghan, has been named a 2024 Wash100 Award winner by Executive Mosaic. This prestigious award recognizes 100 "executives of consequence" who are considered to be among the most influential leaders in the government contracting industry. This is the third consecutive year that Heneghan has been recognized on this list.

Heneghan took on the role of ECS President in 2022 and has since made significant contributions to the company's success. He was awarded this year's Wash100 Award for his efforts in pursuing high-value strategic deals, delivering innovative solutions in areas such as AI, cybersecurity, and IT operations, and expanding employee engagement and professional development programs.

Expressing his pride in being named to the Wash100 list once again, Heneghan stated that it reflects the value of ECS' work and the impact their teams have on government missions. Under Heneghan's leadership in 2023, ECS achieved multiple IDIQ awards in the health IT space including contracts with Veterans Affairs (VA) T4NG2 and Strategic Technical ARPA-H Talent Support (STATS). They also secured a $154 million IT operations contract with the U.S. Navy's Commander Navy Installations Command (CNIC) and a $138 million geospatial analytics and application modernization contract with United States Postal Service (USPS).

In addition to these achievements, ECS also expanded its offerings to include cyber analytics solutions such as ECS Pathfinder which utilizes AI/ML to proactively mitigate cyber risk. They also introduced digital transformation road mapping tools to help customers develop and execute their transformation plans, forward-deployed mission collaboration platforms, autonomous and open-source AI platforms for intelligence missions, and an elite partnership with ServiceNow.

ECS also prioritized creating an environment that attracts and engages top professional and technical talent by enhancing career development and leadership programs and expanding employee resource group (ERG) participation.

Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic, praised Heneghan's contributions to ECS in a short period of time. He highlighted Heneghan's recruitment efforts and enhancements to the ECS management team, as well as his pursuit of contracts in areas such as cyber protection, AI enhancement, machine learning, and digital transformation.
